I ordered the 1/2 lb cheeseburgers with chili, mustard & onions. AWESOME. They even had malt vinegar to put on your French fries. YUM. Haven't had my fries this way since Long John Silvers restaurant.
Their prices are still, I guess kind of reasonable. The food is awesome, and the server was very polite and we did not have to wait on our order.
Today I had the pleasure of eating at Char grill at Wake Forest and my experience was exceptional! I had a Hamburger Steak Jr. and a Hot dog and they were both delicious! The staff was excellent as well making you truly feel at home. One of the best burger experiences in North Carolina!!!
Char Grill is my favorite place to eat when I'm in North Carolina. The jr steak sandwich was amazingly delicious and I love the sweet apple turnover and ice cream milkshake. Thank you, I recommend to everyone. Salute from an Army Soldier!
Great place to stop and have lunch. Restaurant was clean and well organized. Eays in and out of the parking lot. Drive through is wide and easy to maneuver in. Restrooms were clean and had ample space to move around if you need it. Staff was friendly and helpful. For those who cannot have sugar in their drinks they have diet fountain drinks and unsweetened tea and they have Splenda as a sweetener if you need it.
We were passing through the area and after being on the road a few hours, found ourselves quite hungry and the smell coming from the smoke smelled delicious, so we stopped to give it a try. We both ordered the 1/2lb burger and even though the size was in the name, we were surprised by how much burger we got! it was more of a rectangular shape so it hung off the bun. They messed up my husband's burger by adding mayo but nothing that couldn't be scrapped off and covered with mustard and ketchup. The burger was really good. Surprising really good. Nice flavor, good amount of toppings but not too much to overpower the burger. Fries were great. Cooked perfectly so they were nice and crispy but not crispy and seasoned well. Overall, it was a good place to eat. I wish we had them in area as I know I'll have a hankering for them again.
First time at a Char Grill. Cute little burger joint with better than average quality fast food. Food was freshly made and served hot. Ordered the 1/4 pd cheeseburger and fries. I would definitely return.
I’ll be honest, the negative reviews made me question trying this place. Glad that I gave them a chance. My experience had shown that sometimes, disgruntled employees or applicants will leave negative reviews. I look past those and try to see for myself. First, Jessa took my order from the drive-thru. Extremely polite and I could hear her smile through the speaker and I was not wrong. She greeted me when I pulled up to the window and was as pleasant as she sounded. HUGE plus right off the bat. The wait was not long, granted, they have been open a few weeks and it was a Friday at 11am but nonetheless, the visit was quick. My food was hot, so hot It was hard to hold the burger long enough to snap this photo, lol. The photo BTW, is to show that the burgers are not RAW as a few have said. Great taste, great service, great value. I will be back.
